As well as giving our immune system a boost Laughter has a positive effect on our overall mental health. It releases natural chemicals in the body that promote a sense of well-being and relieve stress. Laughing helps us release other intense emotions, such as grief. It Increases our energy levels and when we laugh and smile, cortisol levels decrease. Cortisol is also known as the stress hormone, so lower levels are better for our mental health.
Laughing together brings more joy and fun into our life.
