Today we had some really special and important visitors in Year Three. As a hook into our Non-Fiction writing earlier on in the term, we went on a walk around our local area and were shocked to discover that there was a lot of graffiti, litter and vandalism. We decided that we wanted to make a change so we each wrote a letter to Mr E Hope from the Handy Estates Team asking him for his help to change this. We were thrilled when Mr Hope and Mrs Johnston responded asking if they could come into school to speak to us as they were so impressed. We all had a great morning learning about why we should look after our local town and we have planned to work with Mr E Hope and Mrs Johnston again in the near future to actually tackle some of these issues ourselves.
Great work Year Three, Miss Carabine and Mrs Cockburn are so proud of your work to make a change!
